Yacht charter Cannes congress price: transparent budget guide 2027

Prix location yacht Cannes congrès : guide budget transparent 2027 —

Key takeaway: The yacht charter Cannes congress price depends on three variables: yacht size (15-25 m, 25-40 m, 40 m+), duration (1 day, 4 days, a week) and the congress involved (MIPIM®, MIPCOM®, Cannes Lions®, Festival de Cannes). As an order of magnitude, a 25-metre yacht for 4 days of a trade show ranges between €30,000 and €60,000 excl. VAT, crew included, mooring not included, excluding premium catering. The budget breaks down as follows: yacht 60-70%, crew 10-15%, Port of Cannes mooring 5-8% (billed separately), catering 10-20%, fit-out 10-15%. For MIPIM 2027, the MIPIM Harbour scheme by RX officially integrates the port area and introduces specific packages (badges by yacht size, official visibility, authorisations). All ranges are indicative figures excl. VAT: every operation is the subject of a bespoke quote. Cannes Yachts Booking, an specialised sourcing agency since 2010, applies pricing transparency. Yacht charter Cannes congress price: transparent budget guide 2027

Yacht charter Cannes congress price — wide view of a corporate yacht in Cannes used to host professional guests during a congress at the Palais des Festivals in 2027

The yacht charter Cannes congress price is the first question companies ask before booking a corporate boat during a trade show at the Palais des Festivals. It is also the hardest to answer clearly: the yacht market remains opaque, quotes arrive late, ranges vary five-fold, and many operators decline to share an order of magnitude until the brief is finalised. This transparent budget guide 2027 answers that question head-on. It provides VAT-exclusive ranges by yacht size, by duration and by event type, breaks down each cost line, isolates the Port of Cannes mooring fee (not included in the yacht charter), explains the MIPIM Harbour scheme now officialised by RX for the port area, and compares the yacht option to the premium hotel plus venue rental formula. The goal: to let a communications director, an events manager or a CFO frame their budget before even requesting a detailed quote.

🎯 The view of Sandrine Chevalier, Founder & Managing Director of Cannes Exhibitions, Sales Manager at Cannes Yachts Booking: “A client has the right to know how much a yacht charter costs before committing three weeks of exchanges. Sharing an honest range from the first contact respects the decision-maker’s time. Transparency is not a commercial risk: it is what turns an enquiry into lasting trust.”

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: why the market lacks transparency

The yacht charter Cannes congress price is rarely displayed because every operation is a bespoke assembly. A yacht has no catalogue rate like a hotel room: its price depends on the owner, the season, the duration, the crew on board and the position on the quay.

There is also a reality specific to Cannes congresses: during MIPIM® or the Festival de Cannes, demand far exceeds the supply of yachts available along Quai Albert Edouard. This tension drives prices up and discourages fixed pricing.

As a result, many companies move forward blind. They do not know whether how much does a yacht charter Cannes congress cost runs into tens or hundreds of thousands of euros. This guide lifts that opacity by giving clear VAT-exclusive markers, presented as orders of magnitude rather than firm prices.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: full budget breakdown

Understanding the yacht charter Cannes congress price starts with knowing where each euro goes. A charter budget always splits across five lines, in proportions that stay stable from one operation to the next. All ranges in this guide are stated excluding VAT.

Cost line Share of budget What it covers
Yacht charter 60-70% Use of the boat, insurance, base fuel at the quay
Crew 10-15% Captain, hostesses, deckhands, onboard service
Mooring at Port of Cannes (billed separately) 5-8% Berth, connections, port authorisations
Catering & beverages 10-20% Cocktails, dinners, wines, event service
Fit-out & branding 10-15% Furniture, signage, decoration, AV technology

Port of Cannes mooring is a stand-alone line item: it is not included in the yacht charter and is invoiced separately, based on yacht length, allocated berth and the congress involved. This grid is a framing tool. If a quote shows a single global figure, you can check that it includes all five lines or identify those left to your charge. It is the basis of a readable corporate yacht Cannes rate.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: ranges by yacht size

The yacht charter Cannes congress price varies first by the size of the boat. Three segments structure the Cannes market during congresses. The ranges below cover a 4-day operation, crew included, mooring excluded, premium catering and branding excluded — all stated excluding VAT.

Yacht size Reception capacity (cocktail) Cabins 4-day range excl. VAT (yacht + crew, mooring excluded)
15-25 m 20-40 guests 2-4 €16,000 – €40,000 excl. VAT
25-40 m 40-80 guests 4-8 €32,000 – €70,000 excl. VAT
40 m and over 80-150 guests 6-12 €75,000 – €190,000 excl. VAT +

The 25-40 metre segment is the most requested for corporate B2B use: it offers real reception space and accommodation cabins without tipping into the budgets of very large vessels. A typical 25 metre yacht Cannes price for 4 days of a congress sits around €32,000 to €52,000 excl. VAT, mooring excluded.

Above 40 metres, the price climbs sharply because such vessels are rare along Quai Albert Edouard and mobilise a larger crew. Mooring tracks the overall length of the boat and is invoiced separately by the Port of Cannes.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: rates by duration

The yacht charter Cannes congress price is not calculated as an exact pro rata of days. A single day costs proportionally more than a week, because the fixed costs (set-up, crew, authorisations) are the same regardless of duration.

Duration Yacht 15-25 m Yacht 25-40 m Yacht 40 m +
1 day (evening/reception) €3,500 – €9,000 excl. VAT €8,000 – €18,000 excl. VAT €18,000 – €45,000 excl. VAT
4 days (full congress) €16,000 – €40,000 excl. VAT €32,000 – €70,000 excl. VAT €75,000 – €190,000 excl. VAT
1 week €28,000 – €60,000 excl. VAT €55,000 – €120,000 excl. VAT €130,000 – €300,000 excl. VAT

For a one-evening reception, a 15-25 metre yacht remains the most accessible option. For a corporate yacht Cannes 4 days rate covering the full duration of a show, the 25-40 metre format offers the best usage-to-budget ratio. The full week is only justified for operations combining accommodation, daily receptions and onboard meetings. The amounts above include neither mooring nor the event-specific scheme tied to each congress (see MIPIM Harbour section below).

MIPIM Harbour: official RX scheme and associated costs

For MIPIM 2027, RX has officially integrated the port area into the exhibition perimeter of the show. This evolution now structures the use of yachts during MIPIM and adds a layer of costs that must be anticipated in every budget.

In concrete terms, the MIPIM Harbour scheme introduces four elements to factor into the calculation:

  • Official visibility: yachts enrolled in the scheme appear on the show’s floor plans and communication materials, on the same level as the Palais stands.
  • Access to the MIPIM Harbour perimeter: dedicated welcome zone, shared signage, common services.
  • Yacht-linked packages: pricing offered by the organiser to integrate a yacht into the official scheme, independently of the cost of chartering the boat itself.
  • Badges based on yacht size: the number of badges allocated (and their fee) tracks the length of the yacht. These badges represent an additional cost to plan for, typically several thousand euros for a corporate yacht.
Yacht size MIPIM Harbour badges order of magnitude (indicative excl. VAT)
15-25 m €1,500 – €3,500 excl. VAT
25-40 m €3,000 – €6,500 excl. VAT
40 m and over €6,000 – €12,000 excl. VAT +

These orders of magnitude are given for guidance based on recent schemes and must be confirmed directly with RX France for the 2027 season. For other Cannes congresses (Cannes Lions®, TFWA®, MIPCOM®, MAPIC®, Festival de Cannes), there is no equivalent scheme to MIPIM Harbour: mooring is then handled in the classic way with the Port of Cannes, without an official event overlay.

Any professional use of a yacht during MIPIM is subject to validation by the Port of Cannes and, where applicable, to authorisation by the congress organiser. Port fees and fees linked to the event scheme may apply depending on the yacht, the berth and the type of operation. These costs add to the yacht charter price and must appear explicitly in every quote.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: differences by congress

The yacht charter Cannes congress price also varies by event, because demand is not identical from one show to another. The calendar and attendee profile create peaks of tension on available yachts.

Corporate yacht Cannes rate — corporate yacht moored near the Palais des Festivals during a professional trade show Charter rate ranges by congress, duration and yacht size in Cannes.

Congress Period Yacht demand level Effect on price
MIPIM® March Very high + 20 to 40% vs low demand
Cannes Lions® June High + 15 to 30%
Festival de Cannes May Very high + 25 to 45%
MIPCOM® / MAPIC® October / November Moderate to high + 10 to 25%
TFWA® October Moderate + 10 to 20%

A MIPIM Cannes 2027 yacht charter price therefore sits at the top of the ranges, because real estate pressure concentrates demand over four days and the MIPIM Harbour scheme adds an official cost layer. Conversely, a Cannes Lions reception yacht budget or a TFWA Cannes yacht charter quote can benefit from slightly easier conditions when booked early. The rule stays constant: the earlier you book, the better you control the price.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: what is included and what is not

The yacht charter Cannes congress price stated in a quote only has value if you know exactly what it covers. This is the main source of budget surprises.

Generally included in the base rate excl. VAT: use of the yacht, standard crew, fuel to stay at the quay, the boat’s insurance, onboard water and electricity, and routine cleaning.

Systematically extra: Port of Cannes mooring (billed separately based on yacht size and berth), badges and packages of the MIPIM Harbour scheme for MIPIM operations, event catering and premium beverages, branding and signage, additional furniture for a reception layout, AV technology (screens, sound), flowers and decoration, dedicated welcome staff, and any guest transfers.

A transparent quote clearly separates these two columns and unambiguously states that the amounts are excl. VAT. This is what lets you compare two proposals on the same basis and avoid a low headline boat rental Cannes price hiding a string of add-on costs.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: comparison vs premium hotel and venue

The yacht charter Cannes congress price makes full sense when compared to the traditional formula: premium hotel rooms plus a privatised reception venue. Over a 4-day operation for a corporate delegation, the maths often favours the yacht.

Cannes congress yacht budget — interior salon of a corporate yacht fitted out for meetings and professional receptions Yacht interior fitted out: layout and furniture included in the Cannes congress yacht budget.

Line Hotel + venue (4 days, excl. VAT) Yacht 25-40 m (4 days, excl. VAT)
Accommodation, 6 premium rooms €13,000 – €20,000 excl. VAT Included (cabins)
Privatised reception venue €7,500 – €13,000 excl. VAT Included (deck/salon)
Meeting room €2,200 – €4,200 excl. VAT Included
Daily VIP transfers €1,400 – €2,300 excl. VAT €0 (walking access)
Dinner catering €4,200 – €7,000 excl. VAT €4,200 – €7,000 excl. VAT
Mooring / port scheme (yacht only) €3,500 – €9,000 excl. VAT
Reconstituted total excl. VAT €28,300 – €46,500 excl. VAT €35,500 – €60,000 excl. VAT

At a comparable global budget, the yacht removes transfers, concentrates everything in one place 30 seconds from the Palais des Festivals, and offers a distinctive image. The gap of a few thousand euros excl. VAT is explained notably by mooring and, at MIPIM, by the MIPIM Harbour packages. The real saving is measured above all in time gained and operational coherence. For a delegation scattered across several hotels, the equivalent MIPIM yacht cost quickly becomes more advantageous.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: anonymised MIPIM 25-metre case study

A concrete case illustrates the yacht charter Cannes congress price better than a theoretical grid. Here is a real, anonymised operation run during MIPIM 2026.

The brief: a European real estate group wanted to host clients and investors over the four days of the show, with a networking cocktail each evening (50 guests) and a closing dinner (20 covers), plus two cabins for its executives.

The solution: a 25-metre yacht along Quai Albert Edouard, a four-person crew, sober compliant branding, and embarked Mediterranean catering.

Line Amount excl. VAT
25 m yacht charter + crew (4 days) €36,000 excl. VAT
Port of Cannes mooring + authorisations €3,200 excl. VAT
Catering, 4 cocktails + 1 dinner €11,000 excl. VAT
Fit-out, branding, flowers €6,500 excl. VAT
Operation total €56,700 excl. VAT

The client compared this figure to a five-star hotel plus privatised venue formula, estimated at around €50,000 excl. VAT without executive accommodation or transfers. On a full-scope basis, the yacht proved competitive while offering a unique venue. For MIPIM 2027 and the arrival of the MIPIM Harbour scheme, an equivalent budget must also include the official badges and packages tied to the RX scheme. This corporate yacht Cannes 4 days rate illustrates an operation controlled end to end.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: why we apply transparency

The yacht charter Cannes congress price is, at Cannes Yachts Booking, stated as a range excl. VAT from the very first exchange. This approach stems from our specialised sourcing agency model, with no fleet of our own to place.

Having no boat to make profitable at all costs, we have no interest in inflating a proposal or hiding a cost line. Our remuneration rests on the success of the operation and client loyalty, not on the hidden margin of a single charter.

In practice, this means a short-list of 3 to 6 yachts per brief, each with a price excl. VAT broken down across the five lines seen above, plus a dedicated line for the MIPIM Harbour scheme when the operation concerns MIPIM. The client sees what they pay and why. This readability of the Cannes congress yacht budget has been, since 2010, the basis of our relationship with major international accounts.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: how to obtain a reliable quote

The yacht charter Cannes congress price only becomes precise with a clear brief. The more complete the information shared, the more accurate and faster the quote.

Five elements are enough to obtain a first reliable range: the congress and dates involved, the number of guests expected per event type (cocktail, dinner), any need for cabin accommodation, the desired catering level, and the budget envelope in mind.

With this data, a serious sourcing partner shares a range excl. VAT within 24 to 48 hours, then refines it after yacht selection. Be wary of a TFWA Cannes yacht charter quote or any other that stays vague on included lines, on the excl. VAT / incl. VAT distinction, or on whether mooring is accounted for: a reliable quote is always detailed, line by line, excl. VAT, with a distinct line for mooring and, for MIPIM, for the MIPIM Harbour packages.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: budget mistakes to avoid

The yacht charter Cannes congress price holds a few classic traps that derail an otherwise well-framed budget.

First mistake: forgetting catering, branding and mooring in the initial estimate. These lines represent 25 to 40% of the total and are often absent from the first headline price.

Second mistake: confusing excl. VAT and incl. VAT figures. VAT adds to the amounts excl. VAT and can represent a significant difference on an event budget.

Third mistake: for MIPIM, ignoring the MIPIM Harbour badges and packages, which are now an official operating requirement and represent several thousand additional euros excl. VAT.

Fourth mistake: booking too late. Three months before MIPIM, well-positioned yachts are allocated and prices rise mechanically with scarcity.

Fifth mistake: under-sizing the yacht to save money, then having to manage a saturated space on the day. A poorly calibrated MIPIM Cannes 2027 yacht charter price costs more in image than it saves in charter. The right reflex: size on the real attendance peak and integrate all the excl. VAT cost lines from the outset.

Yacht charter Cannes congress price: booking calendar and price impact

The yacht charter Cannes congress price is directly linked to when you book. Anticipating means paying less and choosing better.

Lead time before congress Availability Price level
6-9 months before Wide choice Optimal price
3-5 months before Reduced choice Rising price
Less than 2 months before Near zero Maximum price or unavailable

For a March 2027 MIPIM, the useful window opens as early as summer 2026. For an autumn congress such as MIPCOM or TFWA, spring is the right moment. Knowing how much does a yacht charter Cannes congress cost early enough allows calm decisions, without the pressure of the final weeks.

Frequently asked questions — Yacht charter Cannes congress price

How much does a yacht charter Cannes congress cost for 4 days excl. VAT?

As an order of magnitude excl. VAT, how much does a yacht charter Cannes congress cost for 4 days depends on size: €16,000 to €40,000 excl. VAT for a 15-25 m, €32,000 to €70,000 excl. VAT for a 25-40 m, and €75,000 excl. VAT and more for a 40 m and over. These ranges include the crew but not Port of Cannes mooring, which is billed separately, nor premium catering or branding. For MIPIM, the MIPIM Harbour packages and badges must also be planned for. Every operation is the subject of a bespoke quote.

What is the MIPIM Cannes 2027 yacht charter price?

The MIPIM Cannes 2027 yacht charter price sits at the top of the ranges, because demand is very high in March. For a 25-40 metre yacht over the four days of the show, expect €38,000 to €75,000 excl. VAT for the yacht and crew, excluding mooring. You must add Port of Cannes mooring plus the packages and badges of the official MIPIM Harbour scheme set up by RX (typically €3,000 to €6,500 excl. VAT for a 25-40 m yacht). The scarcity of well-positioned yachts along Quai Albert Edouard adds a 20 to 40% premium. Booking as early as the previous summer secures the best rate.

What is MIPIM Harbour and how much does it cost?

MIPIM Harbour is the official scheme through which RX has integrated the port area into MIPIM. It bundles official visibility for enrolled yachts, access to a dedicated perimeter, pricing packages offered by the organiser, and badges allocated according to yacht size. Badges typically represent €1,500 to €3,500 excl. VAT for a 15-25 m, €3,000 to €6,500 excl. VAT for a 25-40 m, and €6,000 to €12,000 excl. VAT and more for a 40 m and beyond. These orders of magnitude must be confirmed with RX for the 2027 season.

Is mooring included in the yacht charter price?

No. Port of Cannes mooring is billed separately by the port authority (IGY Marinas for the Vieux-Port, City of Cannes for Port Canto), based on yacht length, allocated berth and duration. For a congress operation, it generally represents 5 to 8% of the total budget, i.e. several thousand euros excl. VAT. Every serious quote clearly separates the yacht charter and the mooring, and states the amounts excl. VAT.

Are the prices in this guide excl. VAT or incl. VAT?

All the price ranges in this article are stated excl. VAT. VAT and any specific taxes are added to these amounts depending on the applicable tax regime. This excl. VAT presentation provides a consistent budget reading independent of the client company’s tax status. Every Cannes Yachts Booking quote clearly states amounts excl. VAT, the applicable VAT rate and the final incl. VAT amount.

How is a yacht charter budget broken down?

The budget splits across five lines excl. VAT: the yacht charter (60-70%), crew (10-15%), Port of Cannes mooring billed separately (5-8%), catering and beverages (10-20%), and fit-out with branding (10-15%). For MIPIM, the MIPIM Harbour scheme adds an additional line (official RX packages and badges). This grid lets you check that a quote includes all lines or identify those left to your charge. It is the basis of a readable, comparable corporate yacht Cannes rate.

What corporate yacht Cannes 4 days rate for 50 guests?

For a corporate yacht Cannes 4 days rate hosting around 50 guests at a cocktail, a 25-40 metre yacht is suitable. The global budget excl. VAT, catering and fit-out included, mooring excluded, generally sits between €47,000 and €70,000 excl. VAT. At MIPIM 2027, you must add the MIPIM Harbour scheme (RX badges and packages). The MIPIM 2026 case study in this article, at €56,700 excl. VAT for 50 guests and a 20-cover dinner, gives a realistic marker for this operation format.

What Cannes Lions reception yacht budget should I plan for?

A Cannes Lions reception yacht budget in June follows the general ranges, with a 15 to 30% premium linked to strong creative and advertising demand. For a one-evening cocktail reception on a 25-40 metre yacht, expect €11,000 to €22,000 excl. VAT excluding catering and excluding mooring. For four full days, the budget joins that of other major congresses. There is no equivalent to MIPIM Harbour for Cannes Lions. Booking early remains the best saving lever.

How do I obtain a reliable TFWA Cannes yacht charter quote?

For a reliable TFWA Cannes yacht charter quote, share five elements: the dates, the number of guests per event type, any cabin accommodation need, the desired catering level and the budget envelope. A serious sourcing partner then shares a range excl. VAT within 24 to 48 hours, then details it line by line after yacht selection. A reliable quote always clearly separates what is included from what is extra, explicitly states amounts excl. VAT, and shows mooring as a distinct line item.

Is a yacht price in Cannes proportional to duration?

No. A single day costs proportionally more than a week, because the fixed costs (set-up, crew, authorisations) are identical regardless of duration. A one-evening reception on a 25-40 metre comes to €8,000-€18,000 excl. VAT, whereas four days cost €32,000-€70,000 excl. VAT and a week €55,000-€120,000 excl. VAT, mooring excluded. The marginal cost per day therefore falls as the operation lengthens.

What 25 metre yacht Cannes price for a congress?

A typical 25 metre yacht Cannes price for four days of a congress sits around €32,000 to €52,000 excl. VAT, crew included, mooring excluded. This format hosts 40 to 80 guests at a cocktail and has 4 to 8 cabins. It is the most requested B2B segment, because it combines real reception space and onboard accommodation without reaching the budgets of very large 40-metre-plus vessels.

What is included in the base charter price?

The base price excl. VAT generally includes use of the yacht, standard crew, fuel to stay at the quay, the boat’s insurance, onboard water and electricity, and routine cleaning. Port of Cannes mooring, premium catering, branding, reception furniture, AV technology, flowers and dedicated welcome staff are almost always charged as extras. For MIPIM, the MIPIM Harbour packages are also added. A transparent quote clearly separates these columns excl. VAT.

Is a yacht more expensive than a premium hotel plus a venue?

On a full-scope basis, the two formulas sit in comparable ranges. A five-star hotel with privatised venue, meeting room, transfers and catering reconstitutes €28,300 to €46,500 excl. VAT over four days. An equivalent 25-40 metre yacht comes to €35,500-€60,000 excl. VAT (mooring included), but removes transfers and concentrates everything 30 seconds from the Palais. The gap of a few thousand euros excl. VAT is justified by mooring and, at MIPIM, by the MIPIM Harbour packages, and is offset by the distinctive image and operational coherence.

When should I book to get the best price?

The optimal price is obtained 6 to 9 months before the congress, when choice is wide. At 3-5 months, choice narrows and prices rise. At less than 2 months, availability is near zero and rates reach their maximum. For a March 2027 MIPIM, book as early as summer 2026. For an autumn congress such as MIPCOM or TFWA, spring is the right window. Anticipating also helps secure a quality berth and, for MIPIM, optimise the MIPIM Harbour packages.

Why do prices vary so much from one congress to another?

Because yacht demand differs by event. MIPIM in March and the Festival de Cannes in May generate very high demand, with premiums of 20 to 45%. Cannes Lions in June sits at 15-30%, while MIPCOM, MAPIC and TFWA in autumn stay more moderate at 10-25%. The calendar and attendee profile create these peaks of tension on available yachts. To this is added, for MIPIM only, the official MIPIM Harbour layer that structures supply and costs.

Are fuel and sailing trips included?

For congress use, the yacht stays moored along Quai Albert Edouard and serves as a reception venue: the fuel needed for this static use is generally included in the rate excl. VAT. Any sailing trip (navigation, VIP cruise), however, generates an additional fuel cost billed separately excl. VAT. Most congress operations involve no navigation, the boat being used as an event space at the quay.

What budget mistakes should be avoided?

Five mistakes recur often: forgetting catering, branding and mooring in the initial estimate (25 to 40% of the total), confusing excl. VAT and incl. VAT figures, for MIPIM ignoring the MIPIM Harbour badges and packages, booking too late and suffering the rise linked to scarcity, and under-sizing the yacht to save money at the risk of a saturated space on the day. The right reflex is to size on the real attendance peak and integrate all the excl. VAT cost lines from the outset.

Why does Cannes Yachts Booking state its prices as ranges?

Because our specialised sourcing agency model, with no fleet of our own, has no boat to make profitable at all costs. We therefore have no interest in inflating a proposal or hiding a cost line. We present 3 to 6 yachts per brief, each with a price excl. VAT broken down across the five budget lines, plus a dedicated MIPIM Harbour line for MIPIM operations. The client sees what they pay and why: this has been the basis of our relationship with major accounts since 2010.
