June 2023: NEWS PORT of Cannes 2023 to 2027:
The Marina of the Old Port of Cannes is going to get a makeover! The first works to renovate, embellish and improve the Old Port of Cannes have begun and there will be consequences for the habitants of Cannes as well as for the delegates. First of all there will be the creation of a fishing village on the Pantiéro promenade. This village eagerly awaited by local fishermen will delight locals and tourists who can buy fish locally but also on the Forville market 200m away.
The Pantiéro promenade will link the Quai Saint-Pierre where pleasure boats are moored.
An extension of the Albert-Edouard pier is also planned! Work will begin in 2025 but in the meantime the places on the North and South piers will be reduced. This year (in 2024 and 2025 especially) the participants who wish to rent a boat in Cannes, at the old port will have to apply to us, for the MPIM 2025, from June 2024 for a closing of the files in August or September 2025. As a reminder, the Albert Edouard pier is part of the Palais des Festivals exhibition area for certain congresses such as the MIPIM, the Cannes Lions, the Film Festival, etc….
